Under the brightness of this, the blessed wind moon, I pranced through the darkness in the cool soft grass with hand-fulls of brightly colored eggs filled with goodies.  An apple basket filled to the brim with joy.  I teared at the thought of my life, my miraculous life and the many things for which I am thankful.  What an amazing opportunity to raise these wonderful children, to glide through the early morning rustles of leaves in my trees secretly hiding eggs for our spring Ostara/Easter celebration tomorrow.  The smiles on their faces, giggles of wonder, these are the most wonderful of all moments.

Summer is traditionally a VERY busy time for us. My kitchen floor is almost never clean. I literally vacuum several times a day. Compulsion can be exhausting sometimes. Per usual, we have been very busy. Camping trips and gymnastics class, Green Scouts and babysitting. The 4th of July party was a hit this year as usual. We've frequented local Farmer's Markets and shopped garage sales a bit, enjoyed Jazz Fest for Father's Day. The children had their dance recital in the middle of June and it was amazing! Next week begins week one of 4 solid weeks of camps. I'm teaching music for Miss Katrina. We'll be doing Lion King...very exciting! Then it will be time for gymnastics camp...and then July will have passed just as quickly as ever and August will be half over too! Duncan will be ten in just a few blinks of the eye. TEN?!? Has an entire decade somehow passed? And the days pass more quickly than ever, picking up proverbial speed as we continue to roll, roll down this magnificent mountain of life. Such a blessing it is to spend my days with these fabulous little people we've made. Oh, but there are tears too. And it seems I miss them even when they're standing here right in front of me. Just last night we headed out the door at 11:30pm to catch the midnight release of the last Harry Potter film. Oh, I cried and cried during the film...and not due to sadness within the context...I was cring over time. Time sure knows just how to get away from us. With age comes experience and with experience comes loneliness. It's just a bit harder to connect these days, what with such a disconnected world and all. And my kids need me a little bit less every day. My parents get a bit older, greyer. Such is this circle, a roller coaster really, and we'd better enjoy every minute...the ride is quicker than we think it will be. Every moment must count...my new mantra.

Life and other ramblings...

Time is flying by...per usual. We have been busy just about every day and night since I can remember. This week we start summer dance classes, so there is no way we'll be relaxing any time soon. But, we're doing fun things!!! We're hooping and having Green Scouts and visiting with family and dancing and taking long walks and hoop dancing and learning amazing things all the time. The kids are all at great ages and I can honestly say that we all enjoy each other almost all of the time. We eat great homemade foods and bake fabulous feasts in honor of the midsummer fairies and travel to Old English Fairs for Father's Day. I love our life. And I'm sleeping!!! I sleep WELL. For the first time in my life I am sleeping! And I love it! :)
Today we had a lovely time with Janell and Adam and the cousins, Alondra joined the mix for a sleepover last night, and we all spent a beautiful day outdoors. Evening time brought fairy house building and garden veggie pizza with FairyTale Theater movies and listening to The Wizard of Oz on our new vintage record player.

Dunc and I were on the deck working on a book he's writing and I was thinking about finishing a few dresses. I walk in the house to check on Lyric and she is standing on the counter with hershey kisses SHOVED in her mouth. In the time (literally three minutes) I went out to help Duncan with his book cover she decided to climb the drawers to get onto the counter, eat SEVEN kisses, shove the wrappers into a box in the cabinet, and hide her binky next to the bag of kisses. When I came in I just looked at her in astonishment...to which she replied, with a very large smile and chocolaty kiss coming out of her mouth, "Srrry Momm". Oh toddlers!!!
